The nature reserve of Kalogria is a huge magnificent beach of the Peloponnese with sand dunes and spectacular sea. If you are lucky you can even see pink flamingos or some other migrating birds on the beach. Kalogria Nature Reserve extends for about 44 kms. It starts within 10 kms out of Gastouni and ends towards Patras. It is a reserved zone ideal for trekking excursions.

The Thermal Springs and the Lake of Kaiafas are a geological formation well known in Greece that consists of two springs (Anigrides Nymphes and Atlantides Nymphes) located inside a naturally formed cave in the foot of the mountain Lapithas. The small island of Saint Catherine separates the sea from the Lake.

The river of Neda is 32 kms long and traces its path through the mountains. Sometimes the river is calm, sometimes it is transformed to waterfalls through narrow gorges.  

The canyon of Neda (one of the two rivers with a female name in Greece) is accessible during the summer months and is a truly magical journey for all nature lovers. Approx. two and a half hours hiking time.

On the plateau of Foloï, you will find the astonishing forest of Foloï ideal for hikes in the nature for nature lovers. The forest, famous for the related myths and legends, is located at 79 kms from Gastouni.

The Loussios is a 5 km long river, home to some of Greece’s most spectacular river canyons.

Going down the canyons enables us to see orthodoxe monasteries and Medieval churches hung on the abrupt cliffs.

Loussios river is 110 kms away from Gastouni.

The biotope Yalona is situated at 132 kms from Gastouni. The biotope is home to a unique and extremely rich fauna and flora.

Tsivlou lake was formed in 1912 following a landslide. The lake is close to some traditional villages and towns like Akrata, Kalavryta and Platanos. The distance between Tsivlou lake and Gastouni is a bit more than 160 kms.

Diros cave is made up of three different caves: Alepotrypa, Katafygi and Glyfada. The subterranean river of 1600 meters worth it with its extraordinary formations of stalactites and stalagmites shaped only by the hands of nature. The cave is at about 250 kms away from Gastouni
