Chlemoutsi Castle is located on a small plateau is a medieval castle that was built by the Crusaders of the early period of Frankish rule in Greece. It is located at 14 km distance from Gastouni. It offers a breathtaking view of the Ionian Sea and olive trees as far as your eyes can see.

The capital of Elis region was Elis in the ancient times. The Sacred Sanctuary of Olympia, near Pyrgos city, was in Elis’ territory. During the Middle Ages the region was an important one in the Principality of Achaia with cities such as Andravida, its capital, and Glarentza, the main port.

Both cities are currently part of the Regional District of Western Greece Regional Unit with a distance of 14 kms from Gastouni. It’ s a marvellous site still under excavations.

The Kyllini thermal springs have a regenerating and positive effect on the skin and on diseases such as asthma, rheumatism, osteoarthritis. The procedure consists of collecting some mud -that has sulfur- from a brook and spreading it over our skin. The outcome is perfect, smooth and gleaming skin.

The termal is located at a 14 km distance from Gastouni.

The ancient port of Kyllini is 22 kms from Gastouni on the Ionian Sea coast.

Olympia, the sanctuary of Zeus and birthplace of the Olympic Games lies in a verdant valley of the Western Peloponnese at the confluence of the rivers Alpheios and Kladeos. A landscape of great natural beauty and serenity. The famous sanctuary became the centre of the worship of Zeus, the father of the 12 Gods of Olympus mountain. The site is located at 50 kms from Gastouni. Do not miss it!

Patras is the 3rd biggest city in Greece. It is also the capital of the region of Western Greece in the Peloponnese. It’s located at 215 kms from Athens and has the biggest port in Greece. Do not miss the Patras Castle and Saint Andrew’s Cathedral. Patras is located at a distance of 74 kms from Gastouni.

The temple of Apollo Epicurius at Bassae was built towards the end of the 5th century B.C. in the lonely heights of the Arcadian mountains (1.130 meters altitude). It is located at 105 kms from Gastouni in a beautiful mountainous region.

The archeological site of Ancient Messene comprises a temple, ancient houses, a wall and well preserved public buildings. You will see the wall which dates back to the 3rd century B.C. It is one of the most important achievements of the ancient military architecture. The Arcadian gate which is in the north side of the wall is still very impressive. It was the main gate of Messene as the way to Arcadian Megalopolis started from its external "door". The Asklepieion complex, a small theatre-odeion, the Bouleuterion, the Temple of Artemis Limnatis, the  Sanctuary of Zeus Ithomatas and the Theatre-Stadium are some of the must-see landmarks of Ancient Messene, located 144 kms from Gastouni. Do not miss it!

The Isthmus of Corinth (The Corinth Canal) is the narrow land strip which connects the Peloponnese peninsula with the rest of the mainland of Greece (“Hellas”), near the city of Corinth.To the west of the Isthmus is the Gulf of Corinth (Ionian sea) and to the east the Saronic Gulf (Aegean sea). In its narrowest point, the isthmus is 6 km wide. Since the end of the 19th Century (1893) the Corinth Canal has run through the 6.3 km wide isthmus, effectively making the Peloponnese an island. The Corinth Canal project’s original plans were long considered by the Ancient Greeks. It is located at a distance of 182 kms from Gastouni.

The town of Nafplio was the capital of the First Hellenic Republic and of the Kingdom of Greece, from the start of the Greek Revolution in 1821 up until 1834. Nafplio attracts a lot of tourists. There are three different castles in the town: Akronafplia, Bourtzi and Palamidi. Nafplio is located 240 kms away from Gastouni. Do not miss it (just two hours away from Athens).

The theatre of Epidaurus is one of the most magnificent and well preserved ancient theatres in Greece. It is located 260 kms from Gastouni. The theatre is admired for its exceptional acoustics.

Monemvasia Castle was built on a rocky small island which is located at 269km of Gastouni.
